I remain committed to my focus of working on both sides of the aisle. This is how government should work, drawing the best ideas from all parties and making our cities and state a great place to call home.
Our children deserve a world-class education, we should feel safe in our neighborhoods, seniors and persons with disabilities should be well cared for, and we should hold the state accountable in the same ways we have to run our own households.

Standing for Affordable Housing
It is critical to keep rent affordable for our struggling seniors and vulnerable adults, and it is unconscionable for a company to raise rent to the max on people who can barely make ends meet.
We need to do better looking after those that need our help. I invite you to listen to my comments on this fundemental issue.
Ensuring Success of Our Students
The 2024 K-12 education policy bill passed out of the Senate on a mostly partisan basis. Despite the current grave challenges facing our schools, the legislation fails to address the areas where our schools need the most support: increasing academic success, improving school safety, and improving attendance.

Bipartisan SRO Fix
Many people were deeply worried about the sudden changes over the past year that caused school resource officers (special-duty police) to no longer be present to protect teachers and students in Minnesota public schools. Fortunately, this issue was resolved in a bipartisan way.
